How to import a position into my StalexBot?

Import a manually bought position into StalexBot

Last Update 6 years ago

StalexBot opens positions based on your strategy. There are scenarios where you want to import a position your manually bought on the exchange to let your bot manage it. Here's how to do just that.

Can I buy the coin through StalexBot?

StalexBot currently does not feature direct buying from its interface to the exchange. You should buy the coin manually on your exchange account.

Import position

On the import tab: https://app.stalex.io/#/positions/import, you see a form that can be used to import any position you have in your exchange account. Always make sure to have enough of this coin in your account, because when you import it, the bot will take for granted that you actually already own it: it won't buy it by himself.

Here's how the import form looks:

Date & time

Select the date and time at which this position was opened by you (does not have to be exact, but this will be used to calculate how long you hold this position)

Pair

Select the currency pair that you want to import this position as. If you bought ETH, it will be ETH/USDT for a USDT bot.

Avg. entry price

The average price (rate) at which you entered this trade. You can find this in your exchange account when navigating to order history.

Total size

The total size of the position: if you are on FUTURES, fill in the total amount including the leverage, NOT the margin only.

LONG or SHORT

Choose if this position is a long or short (FUTURES only).

Leverage

How much leverage x is used? (FUTURES only)
